This is where your Admin Review of survey responses is critical. Review all survey responses and compare them to the attached transcripts, SARs, and Financial Aid Award letters. If there are discrepancies you might reach out to the student for clarification, or you can override the student's answers directly in the survey as long as you are the assigned Reviewer.
Secondly, consider that the students have little reason to try to be misleading. You may find the occasional error where a student reported cumulative GPA instead of term GPA for instance but you can just override that in the survey.
